BLACK WATER RISING: Another Song Posted Online
February 13, 2008BLACK WATER RISING, the Brooklyn-based band featuring ex-members of STEREOMUD, BOILER ROOM and DUST TO DUST, has posted another new song, entitled "Blessed", on its MySpace page.
In other news, the band's track "Brother Go On" — the first single off their debut album — has been added to regular rotation on Sirius Satellite Radio's Octane and debuted at No. 17 on the weekly Top 20. BLACK WATER RISING is also featured on this month's Metal Edge CD compilation.
Commented guitarist Johnny Fattoruso: "We are really excited about what is currently going on in the B.W.R. camp and only have our friends and fans to thank for it. We've really been busting our asses to get the debut finished up and out there for all of the people who have been writing us from around the world about when they can expect the CD to hit stores. We are currently looking for the right label to put this thing out so we can bring B.W.R. to the world and show everyone what this band is all about. Again, thank you to everyone who has and continues to support BLACK WATER RISING!!!!"
BLACK WATER RISING has released the video for the song "Brother Go On". The clip, which was helmed by up-and-coming director Noah Shulman (SOIL, THE AUTUMN OFFERING),can be viewed below.
According to the band's official bio, "the philosophy of BLACK WATER RISING is simple, they are not looking to reinvent the wheel, they just want to give it a much needed alignment in these musically stale times. Enough bullshit! Crank up your speakers, sit back, spark a bat, and let the music tell the rest of the story."
