BLEEDING THROUGH Drop Off CHIMAIRA Tour Following Van Accident

December 14, 2003

BLEEDING THROUGH have been forced to drop off the "Pure Hatred" tour with CHIMAIRA, SOILWORK and AS I LAY DYING after their van hit a patch of black ice near Salt Lake, Utah Saturday morning (December 13) and spun out of control, slamming into another truck which had been involved in an earlier accident.

Says frontman Brandan Schieppati: "We left [Saturday] morning from [Salt Lake City en] route to Denver and we got 25 miles out near Park City, Utah and we saw a wreck ahead and flipped car in the center of the highway all of a sudden D-BO lost control on black ice and we spun out of control heading towards the wreck and slammed into a truck that was already flipped over it hit the side of the van and shattered out the windows, our trailer flew off and our equipment flew all over the highway like someone busted open candy from a fucking pinata. But we all walked away from the van. Johnson had a minor cut on his head. We are just lucky that we slide left to the center of the highway 'cause if we would have slide right we would have been of the side of a cliff and most likely dead." KSL TV footage of the actual accident taking place can be viewed in Real Media format at this location (note: expect possible server overload).
