BLEEDING THROUGH: 'Major' U.S. Tour In The Works
April 8, 2008Orange County, California's BLEEDING THROUGH has issued the following update:
"Right now we are in the studio in Vancouver, Canada with producer Devin Townsend (STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, LAMB OF GOD, SOILWORK, DARKEST HOUR) making our new album, 'Declaration', which we hope to release this summer. You could say we're continuing our new tradition of having shredding guitarists produce our albums, as Rob Caggiano from ANTHRAX produced our last one.
"As soon as were done recording and mixing, we'll be hitting a bunch of festivals in Europe as well as side shows with THROWDOWN and a couple of other bands.
"We have a MAJOR U.S. tour in the works for the summer as well."
"Declaration" is said to be a "concept album" about the rigors of being away from home.
"Every song will be named after a different city or state," BLEEDING THROUGH frontman Brandan Schieppati told Revolver in the magazine's May 2008 issue. "There are definitely places when we're traveling where every time we go there, we're like, 'Fuck, why do we have to be here?' Like, we'll be in France and all of a sudden we'll feel totally insignificant. You get the feeling that people's eyes are just burining a hole through you."
According to Schieppati, "Declaration" will be heavier than its predecessor. "I think it bridges the gap between 'The Truth' and [2003's] 'This Is Love, This Is Murderous'," he told Revolver. "The melodies are darker, the riffs are heavier. We just wrote a really aggressive record that encompasses everything we've ever tried to do as a band and then raised the bar a notch or two."
