BLIND GUARDIAN: Second Teaser Video For New Album Posted Online

April 19, 2010

The second in a series of video clips featuring behind-the-scenes footage from the recording sessions for the new BLIND GUARDIAN album can be viewed below. The clip was recorded in November 2009 at the Twilight Hall studio and contains excerpts of the songs "A Voice in the Dark" (intro/outro) and "Wheel of Time" (demo version).

Each of these teaser videos features a bandmember or a guest musician taking part in the recording of the new BLIND GUARDIAN album, which is due in late 2010. This video's focus is on guitarist Marcus Siepen.

In a recent online posting, BLIND GUARDIAN vocalist Hansi Kürsch stated about the German band's forthcoming CD, "This will be our most bombastic and epic album so far. Whether there will be 8 or 9 songs on the album I do not know, by now. But each and every song has a completely different approach in comparison to each other and one complements the other in a perfect way."

BLIND GUARDIAN's new LP is tentatively scheduled for release in September via Nuclear Blast Records.

First-week sales (approximately 3,000 copies) of BLIND GUARDIAN's "A Twist in the Myth" (2006) in the U.S. landed Germany's favorite sons at No. 21 on Billboard's Top Independent Albums chart and No. 288 on the Billboard album chart. The CD debuted at position No. 4 in Germany and No. 3 in Greece.
