BLINDSIDE To Enter Studio In September

Stockholm, Sweden's BLINDSIDE will enter a Los Angeles studio in September with producer Howard Benson (MOTÖRHEAD, MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE) to begin recording its new album for an early 2010 release.

Commented the group: "For the last five years, it has been quite silent around this band. We have not disappeared from the face of the earth.

"Since our last full length album, 'The Great Depression', we have played in five different continents of the world. We've done tours with LINKIN PARK and AFI and we've played some of the biggest festivals in Europe. We have had a great time exploring new places and making new friends. But we have also missed our dear friends in the U.S. who made us what we are today.

"Due to a label dispute, we were not able to release the album we had planned for 2007. We spent the last two years refocusing on our family life since we've spent so much of the last 10 years being away on the road.

"Last year we had a band meeting about the future of the band. We decided that either we: a) quit or b) make the best album of our career.

"The result of five years of BLINDSIDE writing new music will be surfaced in early 2010."

BLINDSIDE's "The Black Rose" EP was released in 2007. It featured five new songs and three live recordings of tracks from the band's previous album, "The Great Depression".

"The Great Depression" was produced by Lasse "Lars" Marten and was released in August 2005 via DRT Entertainment.
