BLITZKRIEG, WITCHFYNDE, AVENGER Confirmed For Holland's HEAVY METAL MANIACS FESTIVAL VI

July 14, 2005

BLITZKRIEG, WITCHFYNDE and AVENGER are among the bands that have been confirmed for Heavy Metal Maniacs Festival VI, a one-day event scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 29 at Manifesto in Hoorn, Holland. A statement from the festival organizers reads as follows: "This year it will be the 25th birthday party of the NWoBHM [New Wave of British Heavy Metal]. Out of this movement came a lot of bands who became an inspiration for many other bands (for example, METALLICA, to name one). Holland was one of the countries where the English bands had a lot of success. Some bands even played more in Holland than in the U.K. Reasons enough to organise a NWoBHM festival in Holland. Beside four original NWoBHM bands, we have added one young U.K. band who play in the same vein and two Dutch bands who were also around in the early '80s and can be described as New Wave of Dutch Heavy Metal."

Heavy Metal Maniacs Festival VI billing:

BLITZKRIEG (UK)
WITCHFYNDE (UK)
AVENGER (UK)
SAD IRON (NETH)
PREDATÜR (UK)
CONQUEST OF STEEL (UK)
BLACKOUT (NETH)
