BLOODTHORN: Touring Plans Outlined

April 5, 2006

Norwegian death metallers BLOODTHORN will follow up their Inferno Festival appearance in April by filling the slot held by KEEP OF KALESSIN on the European tour with CARPATHIAN FOREST and HATE, as KEEP OF KALESSIN will have to fly home to Norway to play a few gigs there. They all meet up again in London, playing at the Underworld, and from there KEEP OF KALESSIN will continue their trek. After appearing at Germany's Wacken Open Air festival in August, BLOODTHORN will embark on a Scandinavian tour with VADER and NIGHTRAGE.

As previously reported, a brand-new BLOODTHORN, track, entitled "Blood and Iron", has been made available for download at this location. The song comes off the Norwegian death metal band's new album, "Genocide", which was released in Europe in February via Morningstar Records. A video teaser containing sound clips of many of the songs that appear on "Genocide" has been posted online at this location. The teaser can also be viewed in an online player onhe official BLOODTHORN MySpace page here.

"Genocide" was recorded at Godt Selskap Studio (CHTON, GRIFFIN, KEEP OF KALESSIN) with Knut Fug Prytz (NECROPHAGIA) producing. The CD, which has a running time of nearly 50 minutes, marks the group's first release with guitarist Ihizahg (ex-PERISHED, WURDULAK, live guitarist for MAYHEM).
