BOBAFLEX: New Single Available For Streaming
October 17, 2007West Virginian metal maniacs BOBAFLEX have made their new single, "Home", available for streaming: High-Speed, Low-Speed. A video for the song was shot on October 12 before and during the band's concert at Alrosa Villa in Columbus, Ohio.
BOBAFLEX will follow up its acclaimed 2005 release "Apologize for Nothing" on October 30 with "Tales from Dirt Town". The 12-track disc was produced and mixed by Russ T. Cobb (SEVENDUST) and recorded at Bang! Studios in Atlanta.
Expanding on the brutality of the group's debut, "Tales from Dirt Town" incorporates elements of classic rock shaking up an already schizophrenic sound of heavy riffs and growling to harmonious vocals traded off by the band’s four vocalists. Brutal tracks like "Sellout", "That Ole Speed", and "Need A Drink" are met head-on by soaring, almost epic tracks like "Satisfied", "Savior" and "Home". With Russ Cobb's excellent production bringing out all facets of the band’s sound, "Tales from Dirt Town" proves to be one of the most accomplished heavy rock albums of 2007.
In addition to appearing on Gigantour (the band was handpicked by MEGADETH's Dave Mustaine) and a tour with TWIZTID, BOBAFLEX proved to be one of the hardest working bands in the scene by simply jumping in their van and playing non-stop gigs around the country over the past three years. The band possesses an exceptional live show with members constantly switching instruments and swapping turns on lead vocals.
BOBAFLEX will again tear up stages with non-stop touring for the remainder of 2007 and all of 2008.
