BOLT THROWER Preparing To Record New Album

April 8, 2005

British extreme metal pioneers BOLT THROWER are "still putting the finishing touches" on the material for their new studio album, according to bassist Jo Bench. "Baz [a.k.a. Barry Thompson, guitar] keeps changing them, which doesn't help!" The band recently booked time at the rehearsal room "to run through the songs to make sure they're OK before we start work in the studio in the next few weeks," according to Bench. "We're still hoping for an October/November release" via Metal Blade Records.

BOLT THROWER recently announced the return of original vocalist Karl Willetts as a full-time member.

Willetts rejoined the group as the replacement for Dave Ingram, who left the band in August 2004 due to long-standing "health and personal problems."

Commented Willetts: "The new stuff we are working on is killer. [I] can't wait to get out on tour. Hopefully [we can] get Stateside bout this time next year... if all goes [according] to plan."

BOLT THROWER's upcoming CD will be the follow up to 2001's "Honour, Valour, Pride", which was the only BOLT THROWER release to feature Ingram on vocals.
