BOOK OF BLACK EARTH: New York City Footage Posted Online

November 26, 2008

MetalKult.com has posted four live videos from Seattle black metal band BOOK OF BLACK EARTH.

The footage comes as the final installment in MetalKult's coverage of the October 8, 2008 WATAIN/WITHERED/KRALLICE show at New York's Knitting Factory.

BOOK OF BLACK EARTH was touring behind its 2008 release, "Horoskopus" (Prosthetic Records).

Go to MetalKult.com to check out the crew as they play "2160" into "May Your God Deny You" and "Death of the Sun", "Total Control" and "Clamor Beneath".

"'Horoskopus' is a concept album about the hidden astrological elements of the Christian church," vocalist/guitarist T.J. Cowgill said. "From its origins as a state sponsored religion in the fourth century to the present day, it has been guided by astrological concepts conceived centuries before Jesus Christ was mythologized as the 'Sun' of God."

BOOK OF BLACK EARTH consists of members of venerable metal underground band TEEN CTHULHU, as well as drummer Joe Axler of SKARP, SPLATTERHOUSE, and IAMTHETHORN, among others. Having already released a self-financed demo in 2004 and a split release with underground legends FALL OF THE BASTARDS in 2005, 2006's "The Feast" received praise from Decibel magazine, Terrorizer magazine, and the band's hometown newspaper, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer.
