BRAINSTORM: Second 'On The Spur Of The Moment' Studio Webisode

March 16, 2011

The second in a series of webisodes featuring behind-the-scenes footage from the recording sessions for "On The Spur Of The Moment", the new album from German metallers BRAINSTORM, can be viewed below. Frontman Andy B. Franck previously stated, "Since February 25th we are back together in the studio to work on the new album. We decided to record it with Axel Heckert in the Studio 22 in Ludwigsburg. Axel is a huge fan of the band and he will help us to reach a whole new level.

"The song material we have is again more aggressive than the last songs we had written. For us, 'Memorial Roots' was a cool album, but 'On The Spur Of The Moment' will be a BLAST!

"We are really happy and excited to start recording new material because we cannot hear the old songs anymore… time for something new!"

BRAINSTORM's last album, "Memorial Roots", was released on October 16, 2009 via the band's new label, AFM Records. The CD was mixed at the Gate Studio in Wolfsburg, Germany under the watchful eye of Sascha Paeth and Miro as producers. 15 songs were recorded for the album, including "Forsake What I Believed", which frontman Andy B. Franck calls "a headcrusher."

Metal Blade in June 2007 released the first-ever BRAINSTORM DVD, "Honey from the B's (Beasting around the Bush)". The box set was released in digipack format "with special metal effect." The disc entered the Hungarian Music DVD chart at position No. 18.
