May 10, 2011

Syracuse, New York-based hard rock band BRAND NEW SIN has inked a deal with Goomba Music. The group will enter the studio in late May to begin recording its new CD for a fall release.

BRAND NEW SIN's fourth full-length album, "Distilled", included the first single to feature Kris Wiechmann (guitarist, principal songwriter and lyricist) on lead vocals, entitled "Summertime". The track was recorded at Subcat Music Studios in Skaneateles, New York.

The band's acclaimed 2006 album "Tequila" was recorded at Method of Groove studios in Brooklyn with producer Joey Z (LIFE OF AGONY, STEREOMUD). The disc, mastered by the acclaimed George Marino (METALLICA, AC/DC, GUNS N' ROSES) at Sterling Sound, featured a guest vocal appearance by Peter Steele (TYPE O NEGATIVE) on the track "Reaper Man".

BRAND NEW SIN is Kris Wiechmann on vocals and guitar, Chuck Kahl on bass, Kevin Dean on drums and Tommy Matkowski on guitar.
