BRAND NEW SIN Vocalist Is Excited About Touring With TYPE O NEGATIVE

February 21, 2007

BRAND NEW SIN will embark on a U.S. tour alongside TYPE O NEGATIVE on March 28 and will be direct support until Century Media labelmates CELTIC FROST join the bill on April 9. This trek marks the group's second U.S. run in support of their critically acclaimed album "Tequila", which Decibel magazine praises as "accessible, blue-collar, booze-tinged metal." BRAND NEW SIN is also set to perform at this year's South By Southwest in Austin, TX, which marks their second appearance at the most renowned U.S. musical festival. The group will be performing at Red 7 Patio on March 14 and will follow this up with two high-profile shows on the Jägermeister Music Tour alongside STONE SOUR, labelmates LACUNA COIL and SHADOWS FALL.

Commented vocalist Joe Altier: "We are extremely excited to hit the road with the legendary TYPE O NEGATIVE. We thank Pete Steele and the rest of the guys for asking us to be a part of their first tour in nearly three years. This friendship was born when Peter joined us in the studio last year to lend his vocals to the track 'Reaper Man', which we hope to perform live with him on a few dates this spring. We are also looking forward to having CELTIC FROST on the bill. I know this lineup seems strange but in a world where most tours feature bands that all sound exactly the same, this diverse bill should be a treat for fans old and young. Our set on this tour will see some more of the songs featured on our new disc 'Tequila', alongside some classics. Come out and enjoy what is bound to be one hell of a tour."
