BRET MICHAELS: Columbus Show 'Postponed'

October 8, 2009

Tonight's (Thursday, October 8) Bret Michaels concert at Club H20 in Columbus, Georgia has been "postponed until further notice" due to "a case of the flu," according to a posting on the POISON singer's MySpace page. It is not presently clear if any of the other Bret Michaels solo dates will be affected by this cancellation.

Remaining Bret Michaels shows:

Oct. 09 - Atmore, AL - Wind Creek Casino
Oct. 10 - Valdosta, GA - Wind Creek Casino
Oct. 17 - Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico - Poliforum Leon
Nov. 06 - Onamia, MN - Grand Casino Mille Lacs
Nov. 07 - Onamia, MN - Grand Casino Mille Lacs
Dec. 05 - Brooks, CA - Cache Creek Casino

Michaels' autobiography, "Roses and Thorns: The Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy to My Reality", has had its release date pushed back into 2010 by publisher Simon & Schuster.

The book was originally due out this past June, and while Michaels acknowledges "it would've been great to have it out there," he recently told Billboard.com that the delay "let me talk about the Tonys and the (summer) tour with DEF LEPPARD and CHEAP TRICK and all the nutty stories I'll have from the summer." Michaels made headlines on June 7 when he fractured his nose at the Tony Awards, colliding with a piece of moving scenery after he performed POISON's "Nothin' But a Good Time" with the cast of "Rock Of Ages".
