BRET MICHAELS Postpones More Shows
June 19, 2009Due to injuries suffered at the Tony Awards on June 7, POISON singer Bret Michaels has been forced to postpone tonight's (Friday, June 19) concert at the Tachi Palace in Lemoore, California and tomorrow night's (Saturday, June 20) show at Cache Creek Casino in Brooks, California. The new concert dates are Friday, September 18 and Saturday, December 5, respectively. The original tickets will be honored for the new shows.
Michaels has told People.com that he has no plans to file a lawsuit over the Tony Awards incident when he got clocked in the head by a descending set piece during his band's performance.
"I want to make very clear to everybody that — first and foremost — I was honored to be asked to be at the Tonys," he said. "I'd never done it before and in all my life it's not something I thought I'd be on. I was really excited. There's no lawsuit. I'm not doing any of that. I'm taking the high road."
