BRET MICHAELS: 'Rock Of Love' Marathon To Air On MTV Tomorrow

August 24, 2007

MTV will air a "Rock of Love with Bret Michaels" marathon tomorrow (Saturday August 25) beginning at 8:00 p.m. and ending at 3:30 a.m.

"Rock of Love with Bret Michaels" is a 10-part series that airs Sunday nights at 9:00 p.m. EST/8:00 p.m. CST on VH1. The series focuses on the never-before-revealed private side of notoriously wild rocker Bret Michaels, lead singer of the multi-platinum legendary party band POISON, who has 20 beautiful women residing in his Los Angeles rock palace in an attempt to win a VIP pass to his heart.

To help narrow the field in a series of eliminations, Michaels puts these women through a wild ride these women through various outrageous challenges. The ladies who win these tests of fortitude will join Michaels on some wild and exclusive dating excursions, while those who can't hang like true backstage VIPs will be escorted out in bona fide rock star fashion.

In a recent interview with Syracuse.com, Michaels said that his TV and rock concert worlds are forever entwined. He's just being himself, no matter what.

"When you're doing a reality show, you're not an actor," Michaels said. "I was being me. And I think that was the reason it was the No. 1 (reality-TV) show for three weeks running. People smell that this is a real reality show. My life in the course of a day runs many emotions. I get up in the morning, take my insulin and go. The show became part extreme dating and part survival."

He says his two favorite episodes were the ones centered on motocross riding and football.

"My two greatest hobbies," he said. "I have to give the girls this great nod of credit. They were great sports about everything. It's not like they had a stunt double. You ride. Two got hurt pretty bad, unfortunately. It was pretty wild."

Then there was the episode where he took some of the women to one of his solo shows.

"You will see this episode and go, 'Oh, my God,' " Michaels said. "I call it the backyard barbecue gone bad."
