BRET MICHAELS To Share His Pennsylvania Success Story At 42nd Pennsylvania Chamber Of Business And Industry Annual Dinner
October 1, 2026The Pennsylvania Chamber Of Business And Industry has announced a huge addition to its 42nd annual dinner on Monday, October 5 at the Hershey Lodge: Pennsylvania native Bret Michaels will join keynote speaker Kevin Hart for an unforgettable evening celebrating success, entrepreneurship, and Pennsylvania pride.
"We're excited to welcome Bret Michaels back home to Pennsylvania and add his energy, star power, and insights to the Annual Dinner program," said Pennsylvania Chamber Of Business And Industry president and CEO Luke Bernstein. "Bret's journey from small-town Pennsylvania to international success is a powerful example of how talent, hard work, and perseverance can open doors to opportunity. Together with an evening headlined by fellow Pennsylvania native Kevin Hart, we'll celebrate the Commonwealth that has helped shape countless success stories."
"I cannot be more honored and excited to be part of this incredible event, featuring the one and only Kevin Hart, along with Luke Bernstein and so many incredible people," Michaels said. "Not only is Kevin one of the most talented people in entertainment, but also a great human being. I'm excited to answer questions about health, happiness, and the pursuit of the five P's of Pennsylvania: purpose, passion, people, projects, and production. And, as always, health is wealth."
The event will begin with a fireside chat featuring Kevin Hart. Following dinner, Michaels will take the stage for a question-and-answer session covering a range of topics, including growing up in Pennsylvania, family and friends, music, branding, creative entrepreneurship, sports, overcoming adversity with an unbroken spirit, and a principle that has become increasingly important throughout his life: health is wealth.
Born in western Pennsylvania and raised in Mechanicsburg, Michaels has maintained strong roots in the Keystone State, having recently played Hershey Stadium and the Hollywood Casino Amphitheater. Michaels is a lifelong Type 1 diabetic who was diagnosed at age six and the son of a veteran. Throughout his career, he has been a passionate advocate for veterans and diabetes awareness, supporting numerous charitable initiatives dedicated to both causes.
From Kevin Hart's Philadelphia roots to Bret Michaels's lifelong ties to western and central Pennsylvania, the Pennsylvania Chamber Of Business And Industry annual dinner will bring the Commonwealth together for one incredible night.
Back in late July, Bret said that he was instructed by doctors to take three to four weeks off to recuperate until a stent is removed following an "immediate complicated obstructing kidney stone surgery."
In April, Bret told SiriusXM's "Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk" that he and his POISON bandmates were "hoping" to go back on tour in 2027, "'cause I know it's a big question. I think — I really strongly think '27, without going into details yet, is going to be a good reunion year for POISON. I think it's gonna be awesome," he said.
This past January, Bret denied that POISON's proposed 40th-anniversary tour fell through because he allegedly wanting more money. During an interview with "Chaz & AJ In The Morning" on 99.1 WPLR, Michaels teased that POISON's 2027 tour could be called "40 Plus One", since it would happen on the 41st anniversary of the band's debut album, "Look What the Cat Dragged In".
POISON last hit the road in 2022 when it supported MÖTLEY CRÜE and DEF LEPPARD on a massive stadium tour. After that tour ended, Michaels went back to performing sporadic shows — consisting almost entirely of POISON hits — with his solo band.
