BRET MICHAELS' Tour Bus Involved In Multi-Vehicle Accident

July 6, 2009

As Bret Michaels traveled to St. Paul, Minnesota following POISON's July 4 performance at Molson Amphitheater in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, his bus was involved in a multi-vehicle accident on the Canadian side of the border. Police reports indicate a car lost control and slid into the side of Michaels' tour bus, causing a five-car pile-up on the roadway. There was damage to all vehicles involved, but no serious injuries were reported. Bret and his immediate crew were released from the scene following an investigation.

Michaels was on his way to perform at the "Taste of Minnesota" music festival with his solo band. He will rejoin the POISON tour on July 7 in Hartford, Connecticut.

Bret Michaels was forced to postpone several shows last month due to injuries he suffered at the Tony Awards on June 7 when he got clocked in the head by a descending set piece during POISON's performance,

Michaels has told People.com that he has no plans to file a lawsuit over the Tony Awards incident. "I want to make very clear to everybody that — first and foremost — I was honored to be asked to be at the Tonys," he said. "I'd never done it before and in all my life it's not something I thought I'd be on. I was really excited. There's no lawsuit. I'm not doing any of that. I'm taking the high road."
