BRET MICHAELS Wins First Challenge On 'Celebrity Apprentice'

March 16, 2010

POISON singer Bret Michaels kicked off his 47th birthday Sunday night by beating out Cyndi Lauper and her team of high-profile female celebrities, including Sharon Osbourne, on the new season of "Celebrity Apprentice". Winning $100,000 dollars for the American Diabetes Association was the ultimate in prizes for the life-long diabetic, but Bret's luck didn't stop there. To make the birthday celebration even sweeter, Bret's new single, "Nothing To Lose", featuring Miley Cyrus, turned in as the #3 most added song nationally on hot AC radio stations, beating out the likes of LADY GAGA and BON JOVI and tying country sensation Taylor Swift!

Bret is currently performing in front of sold-out crowds on his "Roses and Thorns" solo tour and finishing up his new CD, "Custom Built".

"Celebrity Apprentice" premiered Sunday night (March 14) on NBC with 8.3 million viewers watching.

Tune in to "Rachael Ray" on March 17 as Bret chats with Rachael and performs "Nothing to Lose" acoustically. The show airs at 10 a.m. in New York City on ABC and 2 p.m. on CBS in Los Angeles.
