BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION Won't Play Material From Previous Bands At Upcoming Shows

February 21, 2005

BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION guitarist Tracii Guns (ex-L.A. GUNS) has posted the following message on his blog:

"Ginger [THE WILDHEARTS] and I were guests tonight on the CAMP FREDDY radio show on Indie Radio 103.1 Los Angeles. The usual trio of Donovan Leitch, Billy Morrison and Dave Navarro (by phone) had us on the floor.

"We made the announcement tonight that we will not be playing music from our previous bands in the BRIDES. We are really excited about our new music and we feel it would be a crime if we didn't play the new songs and chose to play something from our past.

"Ginger and I were also invited to have a jam with CAMP FREDDY at one of thier upcoming shows."

BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION have reportedly set "13 Acres" as the title of their sophomore album, tentatively due in June via Sanctuary Records. The follow-up to last year's "Here Come the Brides" is being recorded at a ranch in Malibu with producer Andy Johns, who has previously worked with BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION guitarist Tracii Guns on the L.A. GUNS "Waking the Dead" album (which Guns has referred to as "my favorite L.A. GUNS record.").

BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION will have a camera crew filming them for the next two months of writing and recording, although it's presently unclear if the resultant footage will be released in conjunction with the upcoming album.

The band, who were recently joined by guitarist Ginger and bassist Scott Sorry (ex-AMEN),played their first show with the new formation on Feb. 10 at the Trees club in Dallas, Texas (as part of the Dallas Music Fest).
