BRING ME THE HORIZON: Show Cancellations Explained
January 27, 2009U.K. metalcore act BRING ME THE HORIZON was forced to cancel its January 26 and January 27 concerts in Liverpool, England and Glasgow, Scotland, respectively, due to illness.
Commented the band: "We are really sorry to have to cancel [the] performances in Liverpool and Glasgow. Oli [Sykes, vocals] visited a doctor [Monday] morning after throat pain and has been strongly advised to rest his voice for a few days to prevent further damage. We are super gutted and hope to be back on form for Wednesday's show in Newcastle. We hope to make it up to our fans soon. Please show the other bands extra love in our absence."
Remaining dates on the tour, also featuring MINDLESS SELF INDULGENCE, DIR EN GREY, BLACK TIDE and IN CASE OF FIRE, are as follows:

Jan. 28 - Newcastle - Academy
Jan. 29 - Birmingham - Academy
Jan. 30 - London - Brixton Academy
"Chelsea Smiles", the new video from BRING ME THE HORIZON, can be viewed below. According to a press release, the clip "captures the band's larger-than-life personalities and outrageous antics perfectly in an insane house party that highlights the band's three favorite things — booze, girls and maniacal music."
"Suicide Season", the new album from BRING ME THE HORIZON, was issued in the U.K. on October 6 via Visible Noise and in the U.S. on November 18 through Epitaph Records. The follow-up to 2006's "Count Your Blessings" was recorded at Studio Fredman in in Arboga, Sweden with producer Fredrik Nordström (ARCH ENEMY, DIMMU BORGIR).
In support of "Chelsea Smiles" and "Suicide Season", BRING ME THE HORIZON will cross the pond to rain down destruction on the U.S. with a main support slot on the Rockstar Taste Of Chaos Tour, which features Epitaph labelmates THURSDAY as the headliner.
