BRUCE DICKINSON's 'Chemical Wedding' To Screen At University Of Malaga

November 17, 2009

"Chemical Wedding" — the supernatural horror-thriller written by IRON MAIDEN singer Bruce Dickinson and longtime "Monty Python" editor Julian Doyle, who also directed the film — will be screened during University of Malaga's Fancine Film Festival. It will be shown late night on Saturday, November 21 and will be introduced by Doyle. The screening is at 22.45 on Saturday, November 21 at Teatro Alameda Calle Córdoba Málaga, and there are two further screenings at 17.00 on November 24 and November 25.

"Chemical Wedding" was released in the U.S. under the title "Crowley" on DVD via Anchor Bay.

Dickinson is not the first rocker to be inspired by Crowley, who died in 1947. LED ZEPPELIN guitarist Jimmy Page was a big collector of Crowley's writings and even bought his Scottish estate. OZZY OSBOURNE, meanwhile, eulogized him in the song "Mr. Crowley".
