BRUCE DICKINSON To Release Covers Album; IRON MAIDEN To Film Tour For Upcoming DVD
May 29, 2005IRON MAIDEN frontman Bruce Dickinson is planning on recording an all-covers album with longtime collaborator/guitarist Roy Z, the singer told the French magazine Hard & Heavy during a recent interview. Dickinson told the magazine that he knows exactly which covers he wants to record, but offered no further details on the project.
During the same interview, Bruce revealed that he originally planned on issuing a solo DVD prior to the release of his new solo album, "Tyranny of Souls", but changed his mind. He did not, however, confirm that he will release the DVD in the fall, as has been widely speculated. Dickinson also stated that he may schedule several European festival appearances during the summer of 2006.
In other news, Bruce told Hard & Heavy that IRON MAIDEN will be recording various shows on their current summer tour for an upcoming DVD. No further information is currently available.
