BRUTALITY Once Again Calls It Quits

June 17, 2008

Floridian '90s death metallers BRUTALITY have once again split up. Scott Reigel (vocals),Jay Fernandez (guitar) reportedly left the band due to "personal reasons," and Jeff Acres (bass, vocals) has decided against carrying on with the group without Reigel. "It sucks," says Acres. "We had things going good and then things started to fall apart. It sucks for the fans as well who wanted to see us live and to hear some new music. This was the last chance for the band in my eyes, and now it's gone. Thanks, everybody, for all your support."

Poland's Metal Mind Productions re-released three albums from BRUTALITY"Screams Of Anguish", "When The Sky Turns Black" and "In Mourning" on May 19 in Europe (July 8 in the USA via MVD). Each limited-edition digipack title (limited to 2,000 copies) contains one bonus track and will be made available on golden disc, digitally remastered using 24-bit technology.

BRUTALITY was formed in 1986 by Acres. The band released four demos and two seven-inch EPs before getting signed to Nuclear Blast Records in 1992. The group recorded three albums for the label before disbanding in 1996.
