BUCHAREST ROCK ARENA Festival Cancelled

April 15, 2009

According to HotNews.ro, the Bucharest Rock Arena festival, which was scheduled to take place May 30-31 in Bucharest, Romania, has been cancelled. Festival organizers One Event have issued an apology to everyone who purchased tickets and are offering refunds starting today (Wednesday, April 15).

AC/DC and several Romanian bands were supposed to perform at the Bucharest Rock Arena, 15 km away from Bucharest. However, the festival, with an expected attendance of over 70,000 people, was postponed for organizational reasons, One Event representatives said.

A post on AC/DC's official web site accused the Bucharest Rock Arena festival of falsely advertising the band's appearance at the event when AC/DC never confirmed its participation in the festival.
