BUCKCHERRY, BLACK CROWES, CHEAP TRICK Confirmed For Arizona's ROCKFEST

August 7, 2006

BUCKCHERRY, BLACK CROWES and CHEAP TRICK are among the confirmed bands for RockFest, a three-day festival set to take place October 6-8 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. The event will be held Lake Havasu State Park at Windsor Four, the portion of the park that is located behind the Hampton Inn at the North end. Gates open at 10:00 a.m. and tickets are available for all three days — $130.00 plus convenience charge. To purchase tickets online and view locations of ticket outlets, visit www.havasurockfest.com.

One of the events that will get a lot of attention is the biker build-off. Leading custom bike builders will each bring in a bike they've been working on, and complete the final assembly at the event. The winning designer will walk away with a $10,000 grand prize. There will be other exhibits, custom and classic motorcycles on display, and over 200 vendors selling items from biker merchandise, collectibles, rock memorabilia, clothing, jewelry and more.

One of the lofty goals of this event is to support charitable organizations. Raffle tickets are being sold for five dollars, with the anticipation of having ten autographed guitars to give away. On Saturday pink RockFest t-shirts will go on sale with the proceeds going to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. All in all, the hope is to raise over $100,000.
