BUCKCHERRY: Singer's Illness Forces Concert Cancellations
April 22, 2006BUCKCHERRY have been forced to postpone three shows (Hartford, CT on April 20, Manchester, NH on April 22 and Atlantic City, NJ on April 23) after the band's lead singer, Josh Todd, was taken ill. The dates will be rescheduled later this summer, according to a posting on the band's web site. A list of upcoming BUCKCHERRY tour dates can be found at Buckcherry.com.
As reported here on Wednesday, BUCKCHERRY's first studio album in four years, "Fifteen", sold just over 26,000 copies in its first week of release in the United States to debut at position No. 48 on next week's The Billboard 200 chart. This marked the best chart position and sales week ever of the group's career. The album represents a comeback of sorts for the band, which Todd said is now stronger than ever "We're really connected, you know," he recently told Launch. "We all went through kind of the same hard knocks in the music business, and we're all around the same age, and we all love rock and roll, and it's just like, I just know that it's just a formula that is unstoppable."
BUCKCHERRY broke up in 2001 after the disappointing response to their second effort, "Time Bomb".
BUCKCHERRY came onto the scene in 1999 with their self-titled debut, which featured the hits "Lit Up", "Check Your Head" and "For The Movies".
