BUCKCHERRY To Release Live DVD Before End Of Year

May 26, 2007

Glam-Metal.com recently conducted an interview with BUCKCHERRY drummer Xavier Muriel. A few excerpts from the chat follow:

Glam-Metal.com: How long have you been with BUCKCHERRY now?

Xavier: I have been with them since January 2005.

Glam-Metal.com: How are you getting along with your bandmates on the road?

Xavier: Great! I mean, I don't know if there are any bands out there that been on the road for 18 months and still get along. Were friends and we are having a good time. When we're off, we go to the mall hang out together and stuff. That's a very rare thing, I mean, when you're in a band with five other guys, five guys on the crew and lots of people on the bus, it can get pretty crazy. It's going really well. We are looking forward to the break. But like any situation, you got to strike when it's hot and were enjoying the time.

Glam-Metal.com: The CD "15" just went platinum and you guys just released "Everything" which seems to be doing really well. Do you know what the next single will be released off "15"?

Xavier: I think there is one more single that is going to be released but I don't know which one. We or the record company haven't decided which one they are going to release. There is a live DVD in the works to carry through the holidays. Then were right back to pre-production for the next one and then putting it out.

Glam-Metal.com: Have you guys started writing for the new CD?

Xavier: We still have a lot of stuff from "15". We have tons of stuff left over. We are not a band that likes to write on the road a lot. Keith, Stevie, Jimmy, and Josh are writing on the road. We like to get in a room and start jamming and see what happens. That works really well for us and we'll see what happens next time for us.

Glam-Metal.com: It was announced on May 18th that you guys will be part of the Bad Boys of Rock Tour with HINDER and PAPA ROACH.

Xavier: We are really having a great time with the HINDER guys. We have a great rapport with PAPA ROACH. I'm sure it's going to be an insane tour. It's going to be like one of those old type of tours like (MÖTLEY CRÜE and OZZY, or MÖTLEY CRÜE and RATT)…Insanity! All the bands respect each other. That really doesn't happen anymore. Everybody does what they do and we do what we do and do it well. I mean, you can't compare any of us because were all like apples and oranges but we have mutual respect for HINDER. They are a great band and great bunch of guys. Besides being great musicians, they are great guys to hang out with. Getting all of us together on one tour, something's bound to happen or go off the hook. One of us we'll get loaded and do something ….and it will probably be me!
