BULLET's New Album Cracks Swedish Top 5

February 12, 2011

"Highway Pirates", the third full-length album from Swedish hard rockers BULLET, entered the official chart in the band's home country at position No. 3.

On February 5 a huge release party was held in BULLET's hometown of Växjö. The event was totally sold out, with almost 1,000 people attending, and the band delivered a classic rock show, finishing off with singer Hell Hofer "sawing off" the arm of a guy playing keyboards. In true BULLET spirit, specially made BULLET beer and hot dogs were served.

BULLET is currently on a Scandinavian tour, to be followed by a 20-date European trek in April, with shows scheduled in Germany, Holland, England, Poland, Austria, Switzerland and Belgium.

"Highway Pirates" was mixed by Tobias Lindell, who has previously worked with such Swedish rock bands as EUROPE, MUSTASCH and HARDCORE SUPERSTAR. Their combined efforts have "succeeded in creating a sound that is retro and modern at the same time," according to a press release. "Hampus Klang's and Erik Ahlström's guitar sound is incredibly pure."
