BURDEN OF GRIEF Part Ways With Drummer, Seek Replacement

November 27, 2004

Drummer Carsten Schmerer has left German death/thrash metal act BURDEN OF GRIEF due to "personal reasons." However, Schmerer will play all upcoming shows with the group until they have found a replacement drummer.

BURDEN OF GRIEF released their third full-length album, "Fields Of Salvation", earlier in the year through Remedy Records/Soulfood. The CD was mixed at Jailhouse Studios in Denmark with producer Tommy Hansen (HELLOWEEN, PRETTY MAIDS, HATESPHERE). The follow-up to 2001's "On Darker Trails" contains nine tracks. Audio clips are available for download at this location.

Upcoming BURDEN OF GRIEF shows:

Feb. 12 – Arnsberg, GER - Stadthalle Oeventrop
Feb. 26 - Peine, GER - Gasthaus zur Sonne
Apr. 23 - Tauberrettersheim, GER - Kulturscheune
