BURY YOUR DEAD To Film 'Slaughterhouse Five' Video

June 15, 2011

BURY YOUR DEAD will film a video for the song "Slaughterhouse Five" on June 19 at Frankie's in Toledo, Ohio. The band is having an open casting call at 7 p.m. the day of the shoot for fans to come out and be a part of the video.

Requirements are as follows:

01. You must dress as a cowboy or cowgirl
02. You want to get crazy and help create a Roadhouse themed video
03. You like to party

In addition, the band is also looking for a Patrick Swayze lookalike, along with various "goons," to act out fight scenes and people who are experts in country line dancing.

In other news, BURY YOUR DEAD is currently asking its fans to choose the cover song that the band will perform during its set on the "Over The Limit II Tour", in a poll located on the group's Facebook page. The band is asking its fans to vote for one of the following songs:

* THE BANGLES "Walk Like An Egyptian"
* DEF LEPPARD - "Pour Some Sugar On Me"
* MACHINE HEAD - "Ten Ton Hammer"
* MARILYN MANSON - "The Beautiful People"
* PANTERA - "Suicide Note Pt. 2"
* WHITE ZOMBIE - "More Human Than Human"

The song that receives the most votes will be performed live every night on the tour.

"Slaughterhouse Five" comes off BURY YOUR DEAD's new album, "Mosh & Roll", which is scheduled for release on August 2 via Mediaskare Records.

BURY YOUR DEAD recently parted ways with vocalist Myke Terry and replaced him with the group's previous frontman, Mat Bruso.

"I'm so glad this song is finally out, so I'm not the only one who knows the words anymore," commented Bruso. "I'm excited as hell to play shows this summer and see kids injure somebody to this one. I hope everyone is practicing the part they want the mic for 'cause I'm out of shape now, I can't do it all on my own."

The "Over The Limit II Tour" will feature support from EVERGREEN TERRACE, FOR THE FALLEN DREAMS, IN THE MIDST OF LIONS, THICK AS BLOOD, HUNDREDTH, BETRAYAL, and MURDER DEATH KILL.

Following the "Over The Limit II Tour", BURY YOUR DEAD will head overseas for a European run with FOR THE FALLEN DREAMS and BETRAYAL.

BURY YOUR DEAD's last album, "It's Nothing Personal", landed at position No. 2 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

"It's Nothing Personal" was released in May 2009 via Victory Records.
