BUSH Frontman Interviewed On 'Elliot In The Morning' (Audio)
October 17, 2011Gavin Rossdale of the reformed British alternative rock band BUSH was interviewed on this morning (Monday, October 17) episode of "Elliot In The Morning", a morning radio talk show hosted by DJ Elliot Segal. You can now listen to the chat in the YouTube clip below.
Rossdale said he's happy to be back with his band BUSH because things were "odd and weird" when he was a solo artist. He told People magazine, "Even at the height of everything going really well and the great reaction to [my] solo record, there was always, 'When's the band getting back together?'"
He added, "It was this ricochet around my head. For me, it felt like the right place to be because it feels complete. When I wasn't in BUSH, it was just odd and weird being under my name."
BUSH's new album, "The Sea Of Memories", sold 20,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 18 on The Billboard 200 chart. Released on September 13, the CD was produced by Bob Rock (AEROSMITH, METALLICA) and is the first BUSH album to be made available via the bands own imprint, Zuma Rock Records, through an exclusive partnership with eOne Music.
The current BUSH lineup includes original drummer Robin Goodridge, guitarist Chris Traynor and bassist Corey Britz. Traynor replaced original axeman Nigel Pulsford in 2001 while Britz has stepped in for Dave Parsons.
