BUSH Frontman To Release Solo Disc In April

January 17, 2008

The Pulse of Radio reports that former BUSH frontman Gavin Rossdale will release his first solo album in April, according to the Mirror.co.uk. The exact release date is not yet known, and it seems that Rossdale will begin promoting the CD in the UK for now. It is not clear when or if the record will be issued in North America. Rossdale began working on the disc last year in Hawaii with METALLICA and MÖTLEY CRÜE producer Bob Rock.

A source told Mirror.co.uk that Rossdale and his wife, NO DOUBT singer Gwen Stefani, will relocate to London from California, explaining, "Gwen loves London so she doesn't mind staying here while Gav promotes the album. After months looking after their 19-month-old son — Kingston — it's Gav's turn to go out and bring home the bacon."

BUSH went on hiatus in 2002 after four albums. Rossdale's next project, INSTITUTE, released one album in 2005 called "Distort Yourself", but failed to click commercially. He also hinted last year at a BUSH reunion.
