BY NIGHT Announce New Album Title, Release Date

Swedish metallers BY NIGHT have set an September 25 release date through Lifeforece Records for their sophomore album, entitled "A New Shape of Desperation". The band entered StudioMega in Varberg, Sweden in May to begin recording the follow-up to 2005's "Burn the Flags", which will include at least nine new songs. "Everything except some backing vocals is finished and Chris Silver and Johan Öhrnborg will begin the mixing process next week," the band write in an update. Artwork will be handled by Henric Carlsson from BY NIGHT's new Lifeforce labelmates NIGHTRAGE.

"Burn the Flags" was recorded and mixed at StudioMega during July 2004. It was engineered by Henrik Lycknert and Christian Silver and was mixed by Silver. Mastering duties were handled by Dragan Yanaskovic and Silver at Bohus Mastering.
