CAGE's Tribute To KING DIAMOND Posted Online

October 16, 2007

San Diego, California heavy metal band CAGE has posted its original KING DIAMOND tribute song on the group's official MySpace page.

The track is an homage to all things KING DIAMOND/MERCYFUL FATE and is a bonus track on the "Hell Destroyer" CD versions released in Europe (MTM Music),Mexico (Asenath Records) and Central/South America (Dynamo Records).

CAGE vocalist Sean Peck states: "We wanted to pay tribute to the King and thought that all CAGE and KING DIAMOND fans would enjoy it. Personally, I am a big KING DIAMOND fan and this is my and the band's way of paying tribute to some of his past killer recorded works."

He continues: "The song is written in the spirit of KING DIAMOND's music and name checks characters from the 'Melissa', 'Abigail' and 'Them' CDs. The song is the first track we ever performed live in Mexico from the 'Hell Destroyer' CD and has been going over great live at all of our gigs! We love seeing all the people chant KING DIAMOND at the end of the song!"
