CANCER BATS: 'Bears, Mayors, Scraps And Bones' First-Week Sales Revealed

April 21, 2010

"Bears, Mayors, Scraps & Bones", the new album from Canada's hardcore/metal band CANCER BATS, sold around 600 copies in the United States in its first week of release. The CD landed at position No. 95 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

"Bears, Mayors, Scraps & Bones" was made available on April 13 via Good Fight Music. CANCER BATS has also released a digital EP containing "Scared to Death" and its take on the BEASTIE BOYS classic "Sabotage". The EP is available on iTunes right now.

CANCER BATS will embark on a U.S. tour with EVERY TIME I DIE and NORMA JEAN in May.

Commented CANCER BATS vocalist and resident EVERY TIME I DIE fan Liam Cormier: "Duh! Obviously, I'm stoked on this! It's EVERY TIME I DIE and NORMA JEAN! But, in all sincerity, we can't wait to go back out with EVERY TIME I DIE again, especially now that their beat keeper is a fellow Canadian! It just makes this tour that much sweeter. We don't know the NORMA JEAN dudes yet but I'm sure this whole thing is going to be a big ol' brodown by the end! My only beef is that the tour is two weeks and not two years!"

CANCER BATS is coming off its highly successful Canadian tour with BILLY TALENT and AGAINST ME!.
