CANDYMAN Actor Collaborates With Texas Metal Band FREAK13

May 30, 2007

According to The Student Operated Press, Tony Todd, the actor who portrayed the iconic Candyman character in three Hollywood films, has collaborated with Texas monster metal band FREAK13 on a Candyman-inspired song called "Believe in Me".

"I've always been a huge fan of the Candyman character and of Tony Todd and when we recorded this song we kicked around the idea of approaching him about doing a narration for it," FREAK13's chief songwriter Chester Moore. "We ended up playing at Screamfest, an awesome horror convention in Orlando, and he was appearing as well so we talked with him about it. He was excited about the idea and a few months later we recorded it in Dallas. It came out simply amazing. His presence is unmistakable and it is a true honor to have worked with him."

"Believe in Me" has been uploaded to the official tour MySpace page for FREAK13 and FIRST JASON's upcoming summer jaunt, Krampus the Movie's "Creatures of Crystal Lake Tour".
