CARCASS Guitarist Interviewed On 'Focus On Extreme Metal' Podcast (Audio)

"Focus On Extreme Metal" podcast (web site) (part of the "Focus On Metal" network) recently conducted an interview with Bill Steer, known for his work with CARCASS, NAPALM DEATH and FIREBIRD. Bill talked about the latest FIREBIRD album, tough times surrounding the last CARCASS studio album, and an even more difficult process of reuniting with the band. Bill spends a bit of time discussing CARCASS' classic LP "Heartwork" and talks in depth about its impact on the band. You can now stream the podcast using the audio player below. Although Steer hinted in the press that a new studio album from the band was a possibility, vocalist/bassist Jeff Walker told Revolver magazine in 2009 interview, "I'm waiting for Bill to confirm it, just like you! It's gone from 'No' to 'Maybe' to 'Never say never' — just spit it out, God damn it! We never wanted to be one of those bands that reformed, played again, and then [went on to be] totally lackluster and uninspired."

Bill Steer last fall joined reformed NWOBHM legends ANGEL WITCH as the band's second guitarist.
