CARDAMON: 'The Primrose Path' To Be Reissued Next Month

May 12, 2009

CARDAMON, the Dutch rock/metal band featuring Thomas Kalksma and Koen Romeijn from DETONATION, will have its debut album, "The Primrose Path", reissued through Femme Metal Records on June 1. The CD was recorded, mixed and mastered at Excess studios in Rotterdam and contains "11 melancholic and rock solid songs, with beautiful melodies, heavy riffs and powerful drumming, and the chanting voice of singer Floortje," according to the group's official bio. The new version of the LP features the bonus track "The Bliss Of Loneliness", which was previously only available on the band's nearly-sold-out promo CD.

Commented CARDAMON in a statement: "Femme Metal Records gives us the opportunity to make 'The Primrose Path' available to an international audience through one of the leading metal distributors: Plastic Head. The record deal marks the beginning of what is already the best year for CARDAMON so far."

CARDAMON last summer announced the temporary addition of bassist Luuk van Gerven (AFTER FOREVER) to the group's ranks.

The band will focus on writing new material and playing shows.
