CELLADOR Announce Second Guitarist
November 24, 2005Nebraska-based extreme melodic metallers CELLADOR have announced the addition of 22-year-old Brazillian guitarist Bill Hudson (ex-THE SUPREMACY) to the group's ranks. "Bill's tremendous playing style combined with his outrageous ability to learn on the fly has secured our decision in choosing him for the band," stated guitarist Chris Petersen. "We are looking forward to the many wondrous power metal adventures we're bound to have together."
Bill will be joining CELLADOR at Mana Studios in Tampa, Florida in December for the recording of the band's highly anticipated debut via Metal Blade Records. The album, which will be produced by Erik Rutan (HATE ETERNAL, MORBID ANGEL),is tentatively due late spring.
Originally formed in summer 2004 by guitarist Chris Petersen, CELLADOR was founded with the purpose of introducing aggressive European-style melodic speed/power metal to the Midwest USA, where the style is completely nonexistent and virtually unknown. CELLADOR spent the fall and winter months of 2004 writing and rehearsing, and began playing live by March 2005. In May, CELLADOR came out with the demo, "Leaving All Behind", which THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER guys passed on to Metal Blade owner Brain Slagel, after the band opened for them in Omaha. Impressed by their skill and musicianship, Brian Slagel offered the band a contract making them one of Metal Blade Records' latest signings. Soundclips from the "Leaving All Behind" demo are available at this location.
