CELLADOR: 'Our Vision Has Become Much More Focused Again'
January 29, 2008Nebraska-based extreme power metal band CELLADOR has issued the following update:
"As some of you may have seen, the first two major tours of 2008 ended up falling through on us for various reasons which were named. As you might guess, these cancellations came as a somewhat devastating blow to everyone involved with the band and ultimately started a chain reaction that had us re-think our early 2008 schedule.
"Originally the band was gearing up for a winter recording session to coincide with our upcoming tours, but upon hearing of their cancellations we realized we would be having more downtime than originally anticipated, and decidedly ended up putting off the recording to continue writing material to make record 2 the best we can (also so its release would come closer to future touring plans).
"Unfortunately this new scheduling didn't work with every member's schedule for the New Year, and has lead to CELLADOR and guitarist Bill Hudson parting ways.
"Bill originally re-located from Sao Paulo, Brazil to join CELLADOR in our quirky little midwestern city, a feat we were incredibly impressed by even to this day. Unfortunately, a change that big can be difficult to swallow and adapt to, particularly when the band isn't touring much.
"Rest assured, though, the band will carry on as normal. Although Bill was a great addition to CELLADOR, all the original elements and visions that built CELLADOR from an idea to all that you have heard today are still present and ready as ever to continue on. Our vision, if anything, has become much more focused again as it was in our early days.
"The band is therefore on the hunt for a second guitarist. We will carry on as a four-piece until the right guy is found. There will be no delays in shows or album recordings because of this though, so you have only a couple months before you miss out on recording album 2 with us.
"Message or email us at [email protected] ALONG WITH CLIPS OF YOUR PLAYING. You will also be asked to record some CELLADOR material to be considered.
"The new material is looking intense as ever! If you are looking for a typical generic power metal album, stay far away! Look for us to be hitting the studio within the coming months for a mid-year release!"
CELLADOR's debut CD, "Enter Deception", was released in June 2006 via Metal Blade.
