CELTIC FROST Confirmed For Germany's ROCK HARD, Slovenia's METALCAMP Festivals

September 29, 2007

Seminal avant-garde metal pioneers CELTIC FROST have announced the following 2008 dates:

May 09 - Rock Hard Festival (Gelsenkirchen Amphitheater) - Gelsenkirchen, GER
Jul. 05 - Metalcamp - Tolmin, SLO

Back in August, CELTIC FROST was forced to postpone its Mexican shows after the group's drummer, Franco Sesa, was diagnosed with an acute otitis media (an inflammation of the middle ear) which affected the inner ear and severely impairs his sense of balance, among other serious symptoms. The inflammation first became evident when the band traveled to Finland to perform a recent show. Franco's condition deteriorated rapidly during the flight, and he subsequently checked himself into Oulu's hospital. Upon Franco's return to Zurich, he immediately reported for medical treatment.

CELTIC FROST's rescheduled Mexican dates are as follows:

Oct. 12 - Mexico City, Mexico @ Circo Volador
Oct. 13 - Monterrey, Mexico @ Cafe Iguana

A video interview with a slightly agitated CELTIC FROST mainman Tom Gabriel Fischer which originally appeared on the "Xtreme Soundscapes Vol. VI" DVD (web site) can be viewed below.
