CELTIC FROST Frontman: Pathetically Dissed By Petty Bands Back Home
October 31, 2006CELTIC FROST frontman Tom Gabriel Fischer has posted the following message on his official blog:
"Abyssal and yet at the same time deeply alluring discussions with Martin [Ain, bass] over dinner last night regarding the band, the ongoing North American tour, the band's future, and the personal demons which haunt and propel us to this day.
"Seems so eternally and professionally removed from the petty Swissy bands who, hazed by drug use and intoxicated by their own infinitely big mouths, pathetically try to diss us in the local tabloids back home right now. They would last exactly one pitiable minute in the reality of the international music industry. Were they ever to encounter such reality, that is.
"Fat chance."
As previously reported, CELTIC FROST has announced new tour dates for Japan, beginning in January of 2007, as part of the "Extreme The Dojo" tour with Norwegian black metallers SATYRICON. This marks the first time that CELTIC FROST has ever toured Japan.
"It goes without saying that we are very much looking forward to finally bringing CELTIC FROST to Japan," stated guitarist/vocalist Tom Gabriel Fischer. "After touring extensively in Europe and North America these past few months, our live show will speak for itself."
CELTIC FROST Japanese "Extreme The Dojo" tour dates with SATYRICON:
Jan. 16 - Tokyo, JPN @ Club Quattro
Jan. 17 - Osaka, JPN @ Club Quattro
Jan. 18 - Nagoya, JPN @ Club Quattro
CELTIC FROST's video for "A Dying God Coming into Human Flesh", a song taken from their first album in 13 years, "Monotheist", can be viewed at this location. The fascinatingly gloomy clip was filmed by up-and-coming Swiss director Jessie Fischer (no relation to singer/guitarist Tom Gabriel Fischer) in Zurich, Switzerland, in mid-August 2006.
CELTIC FROST is currently finishing up its North American Tour in support of "Monotheist".
