CHALICE Records Acoustic Album

April 23, 2007

German melodic heavy metallers CHALICE have finished recorded an acoustic CD, entitled "Bare". "We packed our acoustic guitars, our little piano and some nice percussion toys together, entered the Hastings studio in Hamburg [in March] and simply started playing, unable to stop for hours and hours," the band explained in a statement. "We were wandering through our own history, and songs that you already might have heard from us, have shown a pretty different character, mostly to our own surprise. . . The album is being mixed in these minutes by the best of the best, Mr. Dennis Ward, who already [worked with us on] most of the original songs."

CHALICE's latest album, "Shotgun Alley", was released in 2005 via Massacre Records. The band has since split with the label.
