CHANGER Parts Ways With Bassist

August 9, 2007

Icelandic extreme metal band CHANGER has parted ways with bassist Gisli. "This has happened because of the age-old musical differences issue, and the split is on very good terms on behalf of both parties," reads a posting on the group's web site.

After a successful gig supporting CANNIBAL CORPSE and a neck-wrecking performance at Eistnaflug earlier this summer, the band's final concert with Gisli will be with ROTTING CHRIST in Reykjavik on August 26.

CHANGER is currently seeking a bass player.

CHANGER was the subject of a recently launched web series called "Sleepless in Reykjavik". The first episode can be viewed at YouTube. The focus of the series is Icelandic metal bands and what is happening in the Icelandic scene.

CHANGER's video for the track "Recaptured Sanity" (taken from the band's "Breed the Lies" EP) can be seen in the first episode of "Sleepless in Reykjavik" along with interviews with Egill (vocals) and Joi (guitar).
