CHARON: Promotional Photos Taken By SENTENCED Drummer Posted Online

June 7, 2005

Finnish goth-metallers CHARON have uploaded several new promotional pictures for their upcoming release, "Songs for the Sinners" at their official web site. The photographs were taken by SENTENCED drummer Vesa Ranta, who has studied photography and works for Finnish newspapers as well as creates artwork for his own band. Also available on CHARON's web site are photos from the video shoot for the group's new single, "Ride on Tears".

The follow-up to 2003's "The Dying Daylights", "Songs for the Sinners" is tentatively scheduled for release on August 31 via Spinefarm Records. The "Ride on Tears" single will precede the album on August 3.

CHARON entered Finnvox Studios in Helsinki in February with producer Mikko Karmila to begin recording their new album.

Back in April 2004, CHARON named FOR MY PAIN… guitarist Lauri Tuohimaa the permanent replacement for Jasse Von Hast, who left the group in November 2003.
