March 19, 2005

Finnish goth-metallers CHARON have lined up the following dates during the coming months:

May 13 - Red Club - St.Petersburg, RUS
May 14 – Relax - Moscow, RUS
May 20 - Yo-talo - Tampere, FIN
May 21 – Gloria - Helsinki, FIN
May 28 – Hevimesta - Oulu, FIN
Jul. 30 - QStock-Festival - Oulu, FIN
Aug. 13 - Ravintola Manu - Raahe, FIN

As previously reported, CHARON entered Finnvox Studios in Helsinki last month with producer Mikko Karmila to begin recording their new album, tentatively due in August. The first single will be released in April. Read the group's studio diary at this location.

According to a posting on the group's web site, CHARON have composed 13 new songs which are being described as "versatile, more live-oriented and dark-toned than earlier CHARON material. There are many new elements in the music, just because of a new guitarist, and using a producer in a different studio setup."

Last April, CHARON named FOR MY PAIN… guitarist Lauri Tuohimaa the permanent replacement for Jasse Von Hast, who left the group in November 2003. The band's most recent album, "The Dying Daylights", was issued in 2003 through Spinefarm Records.
