CHARON To Release New Single In Early August
May 19, 2005Finnish goth-metallers CHARON will release their new single, "Ride on Tears", on August 3 via Spinefarm Records. The group's as-yet-untitled new album will follow on August 31.
CHARON entered Finnvox Studios in Helsinki in February with producer Mikko Karmila to begin recording their new album. According to a posting on the group's web site, the band composed 13 new songs which are being described as "versatile, more live-oriented and dark-toned than earlier CHARON material. There are many new elements in the music, just because of a new guitarist, and using a producer in a different studio setup."
Back in April 2004, CHARON named FOR MY PAIN… guitarist Lauri Tuohimaa the permanent replacement for Jasse Von Hast, who left the group in November 2003. The band's most recent album, "The Dying Daylights", was issued in 2003 through Spinefarm Records.
In other news, CHARON have uploaded a number of photos at their web site from their recent trip to Moscow and St. Petersburg. Check them out in the "Gallery" section at www.charon.cjb.net.
