CHICAGO POWERFEST 2008 Welcomes PAGANFEST Tour

November 28, 2007

Chicago Powerfest organizers CRJ Productions, in conjunction with FM Entertainment, have announced that the Paganfest tour — featuring ENSIFERUM, TURISAS, TYR and ELUVEITIE — will perform at the festival's first annual "kick-off party" on Thursday, May 1, 2008.

Commented festival organizers: "We've been tossing around the idea of a Thursday night 'kick-off party' for a few years now and we're really excited to finally make it a reality with this killer tour package! We're hoping that this is the beginning of what will be an annual Powerfest tradition and that we are able bring a cool tour through town to start the festivities in high gear, every year, moving forward! Special thanks go out to Frank at FM for helping us to make this happen!"

Tickets for the Thursday night "kick-off party" will go on-sale Saturday, December 8 at all Ticketmaster outlets and the Pearl Room box office. Information regarding on-sale date for the rest of the festival, including two- and three-day passes will be made available once the Friday and Saturday night lineups are confirmed sometime early in the new year.
