CHICAGO POWERFEST 2009 Announces Dates, Welcomes PAGANFEST

November 26, 2008

The seventh edition of the Chicago Powerfest will take place at the Pearl Room in Mokena, Illinois on May 7-9, 2009.

In keeping with a new annual Powerfest tradition of a Thursday night "kick-off" show, organizers/promoters CRJ Productions will welcome the next Paganfest USA tour, featuring PRIMORDIAL, ELUVEITIE, MOONSORROW and BLACKGUARD (formerly PROFUGUS MORTIS) on May 7.

Commented CRJ: "Here we are again, preparing for yet another installment of an ultimate weekend of some amazing metal!! And what better way to start things off again in high gear, than by getting the next Paganfest tour routed through the Powerfest for the kick-off night!!! All in all, things are progressing quite well and we're looking forward to what 2009 will bring. Stay tuned for more confirmed bands being announced in the coming weeks."

Once again, tickets will be available for individual days as well as two-day and three-day ticket combos. CRJ Productions will also continue with its official fan sponsorship/VIP program this year that will give fans a higher level of participation in the fest and a chance to take advantage of some cool perks. More details regarding tickets and the VIP programs will be made available soon.
